Analysis of the Dynamic Characteristics of the Pump Valve System of an Ultra-High Pressure Liquid Hydrogen Reciprocating Pump

This paper developed a 3D physical model of the hydraulic end high-pressure liquid hydrogen reciprocating pump to research dynamic characteristics valve system. Based on mesh technology, we analyzed coupling and plunger motion spool force considering leakage model, closure gap, compressibility hydrogen. Further, effect spring stiffness preload laws valve. Finally, pressurization test was conducted revise simulation verify accuracy simulation. The results show that method in this can simulate process more accurately obtain law suction discharge valves. Both valves have an opening hysteresis angle about 40°, there is strong relationship between piston forces. greater valve, obvious oscillation As increases, increases significantly closing decreases. provide some useful reference for design pumps.
